18 Oct CN Customer News: Derailment at Brampton Intermodal Terminal

Dear customers,

We regret to inform you that a minor derailment has occurred at CN’s Brampton Intermodal terminal, resulting in a temporary disruption to our services. Due to limited yard access, inbound trains are currently being impacted, leading to anticipated delays for traffic destined for Brampton.

This incident may affect CN’s ability to ensure timely protection for export and outbound domestic traffic in preparation for vessel cut off/reservation dates originating from Brampton. CN dedicated team is diligently monitoring export traffic and other affected shipments. In the event that any containers are at risk of missing their scheduled vessels or are facing departure delays due to this exceptional circumstance, we will promptly notify the respective customers.

Regrettably, at this juncture, the CN team does not possess an estimated timeframe for when the track will be fully passable. Should you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
