As Hurricane Lee progresses towards Atlantic Canada, CN is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of our operations and employees. In this weather advisory, we’ll provide you with all the crucial information you need to know about the impact on CN services in the Moncton and Halifax areas.
Suspension of Regular Scheduled Service
Effective from 0700 on Saturday, September 16, 2023, CN will temporarily suspend all regular scheduled service in the Moncton and Halifax areas. This suspension is in place to prioritize safety and will remain in effect until at least 1400 on Sunday, September 17, 2023. The exact resumption time will be contingent upon the impact and duration of the storm.
Impact on Domestic Intermodal Terminals
In addition to the suspension of regular services, Domestic Intermodal terminals in Moncton and Halifax will also experience a temporary cessation of operations. CN is committed to closely monitoring the situation and will collaborate with our port partners to resume business promptly once safe operating conditions return.
