| The Halifax Port Authority (HPA) is aware that supply chain disruptions are creating challenges for imports and exports. Congestion at ports and inland container yards are showing no signs of abating. The HPA, CN and Halifax’s terminal operator (PSA Halifax) are working to overcome these issues:HPA, pilots, tugs and PSA Halifax are keeping the berths fluid with zero vessel berthing delaysCN & PSA Halifax are operating a second, on-dock daily trainPSA Halifax is adding additional terminal equipment to the Fairview Cove TerminalThe Halifax Employers Association with the ILA is actively recruiting and growing the port workforceHPA, CN and PSA Halifax are using advanced notification data to plan a two-week rolling discharge by inland ramp which will provide more accurate forecasting for required rail car supplyHPA is making additional space available to PSA Halifax for the storage of emptiesVessel Berthing Delays As of June 29, vessel berthing delays = 0 Terminal Dwell A consolidated 4-week view of import rail dwell times at Halifax’s two container terminals. Actual vs. Planned Berth StayA view of the number of container vessels that complete their actual work alongside a berth at Halifax as compared to their planned berth stay duration. Vessels that complete their time alongside a berth within their planned stay window indicates the efficiency of port partner vessel operations.  Truck Turn Times A consolidated 4-week view of the total truck service times (gate wait + terminal turn) at Halifax’s two container terminals.
