I am writing to advise you that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), which represents approximately 750 employees in Canada, has agreed to bind arbitration which ends their strike effective 00:01 EDT on July 5, 2022.
Although safe and uninterrupted rail operations continued during the strike, we are pleased with the decision and that employees in Signals and Communications will return to their roles with no further picketing or labour disruption.
